here are a few photos from the first day of our recent trip to the beautiful island of batanes.

we started of with a visit to the abad residence to visit julia and her groom, andrew...as well as a bit of breakfast.

thanks to tito butch and tita dina for their hospitality. you really have to pass by their house / bed and breakfast, if you ever find yourself on this island. it really is a gorgeous hilltop residence.

after breakfast, we headed out to discover the island and wound up in the picturesque lighthouse...
